my clothes for the day

As I prepare for my day, picking out my clothes and getting the outside of me ready,

I’m praying Colossians 3:12-14 for the clothing I put on the inside of me.

First reminding myself that God chose me and He loves me.

Then choosing to clothe my heart with
tenderhearted mercy,
kindness,
humility,
gentleness
and patience.

And deciding to
make allowances for other people’s faults,
forgive anyone who may offend me,
remember how God has forgiven me,
and to forgive that same way.

And lastly, but most importantly,
I put on love,
which binds me together with others
in perfect unity.
