Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds
Regardless of what we face
or how massive the destruction in our life may be
there is still a reason for joy.
Not because of who we are as individuals
but because of who we are in Christ.
But we will have to consider it…we will have to choose it.
We have to stay focused on the fact that God is more powerful
than even the massive devastation of an earthquake.
Stay focused on the joy that comes from the hope in Christ Jesus alone.
James 1:3-4 continues with…
“because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”
God does not want us to be lacking anything.
So, as you continue to fast and pray, know that you can be joyful
because of who you are in Christ Jesus.
But it will be something you have to consider
…something you have to choose.
The LORD is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and I am helped.
My heart leaps for joy
and I will give thanks to him in song.
